Borová Lookout Tower – Views over Orava If you’re looking to enjoy a beautiful view of the Orava Reservoir, Babia Góra, and the panorama of the Western Tatras along with nearby hills, head up to the Borová Lookout Tower, located above the town of Tvrdošín. This simple wooden tower stands about 11 meters tall and is situated near a garden colony on the slopes of Uhlisko Hill. You can reach the tower via an unpaved asphalt and dirt road, which passes through fields and pastures along the Borová ridge from Tvrdošín — a walk of approximately 3 km. Another option is to take the marked red trail from the mouth of the Orava Reservoir toward Uhlisko, then descend to the tower via an unmarked path across pastures. The lookout is freely accessible year-round.
