František´s ironworks

A unique remnant of the factory hall, blast furnace and some equipment such as a burner, inlet and outlet duct, blower chamber, etc. The construction of the ironworks was completed in the 19th century.

How to Get There The site is located in the Orava region, within the cadastre of the village of Nižná, approximately 2 km southeast of Podbiel, near the main road in the Studený Potok Valley, in the direction of Zuberec. Where to Park Parking is available on the meadow next to the main road.
